
Dr. Daniel Dupree, has served as Pastor of the Greater Universal Baptist
Church, of the Bronx since July 1996. As Pastor he is responsible
for the daily operations of the church; which includes: worship leadership,
pastoral care, community building: administration, and teaching. As
chief administrator he has created several vital programs and organizations
that serve the church and the community. He also serves as the Executive
Director of the newly formed Greater Universal Community Development
Corporation which is committed to developing strong social and housing
programs in the South Bronx.
Dr. Dupree also serves as President of the Bronx Ecumenical Task Force, a clergy organization created by SOBRO. He is also the President of a church growth consulting group called Heavenly Works Inc. He currently is an adjunct professor in CUNY (City University of New York); Hostos Community College.
He has served with distinction at the Convent Ave. Baptist Church, from 1983 to 1996, where he held the following titles: Minister of Education, Minister of Evangelism, Minister of Children and Youth service, and Minister of Pastoral Care.
He also served with distinction in the United States Army National Guard from 1971-1997, retiring as a Chaplain at the rank of Major.
Pastor Dupree was educated at Rutgers University, Princeton Theological Seminary and Drew Theological School. His military education includes: Officer Candidate School, Chaplain Basic and Advance Course, and the Hospital chaplain course. He was inducted into the prestigious Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. board of Preachers at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Ga. in March of 2001.

Their son Reginald and his wife Meghan made them the proud grandparents of a grandson; Master Isaiah Daniel. They Dupree’s reside in Jersey City, NJ.
