Discipleship Course
The Bible is abundantly clear about the importance of making Disciples of Christ. Mt 28:18-20. Here at Greater Universal we have designed this discipleship course as a starting point for all Christians. This is the foundation course for building solid mature Christians who will grow to become the leaders of the church of tomorrow.
The course features 13 sessions on a wide variety of important topics that all Christians should be familiar with.
Upon completion of the course, members will be better equipped to move to deeper levels in their walk with the Lord and involvement in the life of the church.
New Member Requirements
Those who are seeking to become a member of this church must first respond to the invitation after the message and demonstrate their commitment to become a faithful member by participating in our Disciples Course
Certificate Program
Those who completes all 13 sessions will receive a certificate of completion that will be awarded during a morning service by the Pastor.

Health and fitness
Our church was recently named as a health center because of our outstanding involvement in a University of Florida Health smart project. We made a commitment to continue our efforts encourage our people to practice healthy habits. We offer healthy eating tips on a regular basis and we open the church doors weekly for community physical workouts. We even feature a “worship workout” during our Sunday morning service, all designed to encourage our people to MOVE. Our goal is to encourage healthier lifestyles because we believe that healthier Christians are more productive for the kingdom. Come out and get healthy with us.
Spiritual Enrichment Hour
Our Wednesday evening sessions now provide more than Bible study. Our goal is to give our students an experience that will enrich their lives. Sometimes that experience includes a powerful movie from the Pastor’s collection; sometimes we share fellowship by engaging in creative games. The primary focus of our time is spent in the Word of God and we always sandwich our time together with prayer. The sessions start at 7pm and all are welcome.
Women’s fellowship gathering
On the third Saturday of most months the women of our church gather for fellowship and study to encourage one another in the Word. Most of these sessions are led by the first lady and the focus of the discussion centers on a book that she has selected for reading and review. The sessions are always rich and inspiring and the women are always motivated and encouraged to exercise their gifts for the building of the kingdom.
Men’s fellowship gathering
On the third Saturday of most months the men of the church gather for fellowship and study to encourage one another in the Word. Most of these sessions are led by the President of the fellowship and the men spend their time discussing topics that are of interest to the brethren, sometimes the focus is a book or an article and the discussions are always lively and deep. The sessions generally end with a choir rehearsal for our men’s choir.
